- Where is the Camping Neue Donau located in the city?
Camping Neue Donau is in the Northeast of Vienna, close to the National Park "Lobau" and the part of the Danube River called "Neue Donau" where you can swim. The campsite is very well accessible by public transportation and by car. Schedules of the public transportation and city maps are available free of charge at the reception.
- Which public transportation is available directly?
The subway U1, metropolitan railway "S-Bahn" (S7 Station Lobau), as well as regional busses, which all offer an optimal service around the clock. You can reach the city center by taking the bus directly from the campsite to the subway station U1 Vienna International Center (5min), and then the tube U1 to the city center. Alternatively you can easily use your bicycle or just walk.
- How often do the busses go? At what time is the last bus connection to the campsite?
The busses travel every 15 minutes during the day, and every 30 minutes during the evening and weekends – the last bus to the campsite leaves U1 Vienna International Center at around midnight.
- Which tickets can I purchase directly at the Campsite?
24-h Ticket and 72-h Vienna Card (Ticket for the entire public transportation network in Vienna incl. Discounts for Museums, etc. 1 Child up to 15 years old, per Vienna Card, travels for free). All other tickets can be purchased at the U1 Station Schwedenplatz.
- Are there shopping possibilities in the close proximity?
There is a minishop and self service restaurant directly at the campsite. Shell gas station is 50m away and features a 24-h shop. All other shopping possibilitites are within easy access by public transportation.
- Is there a place to swim nearby?
Yes, there are many! You can swim directly in the clean Neue Donau, which is located just 50m away from the campsite. Alternatively you can bike to the national park Lobau (5min away) which features many small lakes for swimming and bathing. For small children and families we recommend the outdoor pool –and lakepark "Gänsehaufel", which is located just 5min away by car, or 15min by bicycle.
- Do you have a guest kitchen?
Yes, we do have two guest kitchens for free use for our guests.
- Is there internet available for the guests?
Yes, we have one internet terminal against a small charge.
- Is there a washing machine at the Campsite?
Yes, there is a washing machine and dryer available for our guests against a small fee.
- Things 2 do?
Swimming, biking, beachvolleball, rolelrskating, fishing, surfing, boating, boccia, lounge, kicker, billiard, internet terminal, large garden for sunbathing, table tennis for free, Nordic Walking for free, Citybikes at the reception, Vienna city maps for free…
- What time may I arrive at the Campsite?
You may arrive at the Campsite from 6:00 – 23:00h. The reception opening hours vary during the high –and low season. In case you arrive outside the reception opening hours, please find a place on your own and come to check in the next morning.
- What is the check out time?
Check out time is at 12:00.
- Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards.
- Where can I buy Gas?
We recommend the Shell Gas Station just off the campsite.
- What are the Shop opening hours?
The shop is openend from May through September, in the morning 07:30 – 11:30, and in the evening 18:00 bis 22:00. Subject to change.
- How do I reach the "Prater"?
"Prater", the famous Viennese Park with its even more famous "Giant Ferris Wheel" is located just across the Danube river from the campsite, and it is easily accessible by walking, bicycle, public transportation and also by car.
